Harold Hastings Richardson, 1872-1944 was appointed County Clerk in 1893, and he continued in that role until his death, 51 years later.
Mair* in and discussed at length proposals re new offices at Marton.
Heavy day.
Fowler* in and arranged with him firm benzine returns etc.
Office in evening and Office work at home – correspondence.
Brown* at office, but had bad foot and I had to call for […] and […] him home. ….
Posted form notice to Chairman re calling special meeting re superannuation.

Mair called in and brought plans of new offices.
Sicely cleaning out front office to get it ready for Engineer.
Mair at Hunterville. Rang him re offices.

Busy with unemployment and rates.

Cr Buck rang up in evening re Marton unemployment.
Office in evening.
Mr Brown not in office.
Rang Chairman in evening and he instructed that superannuation scheme commence as at 1 May 1935.

*Sydney Mair was County Engineer, retiring 1947. He began his employment with the County in 1899.
